Brain can take Glucose as the fuel to operate normally, not the amino acid or fatty acid. From the video, if person's brain become Insuline Resistance, then brain cells will gradually die and cannot be regrow. (Other two tissues cannot regrow are heart and kidney cells.). 2nd nutrient, brain cells can take as fuel is Ketones which can be converted by liver from coconut oils.

Insulin Resistance is the cause of Diabetes. Why do people have Insulin Resistance? Because they take poor carbohydrates which will quickly elevate your sugar level in your blood. Cells ( including your body and brain cells) will be less sensitive to insulin if you fluctuate your sugar level too fast and too often after few years.
